PRIVACY

A little less to share.

Here is what this website and Bluff store when you visit or play.

On your device

The website remembers your chosen color theme and language. Bluff stores a random guest recovery token, your last room, and game preferences in your browser. Clearing this site's browser storage removes local recovery access and preferences; it does not delete the game history saved on the server. Use Your record → Clear my record before removing guest access if you want to delete that history.

At the table

The game server uses your recovery token to restore your seat. Your generated guest name, seat status, card count, and preset reactions are shared with the other people at your table. Hidden cards are sent only to their owner. Invitation links contain the room code, never the recovery token.

Rooms and service operation

Rooms are held in server memory and expire when no longer needed. They do not survive a server restart. Inactive live connections expire, but your guest identity, name and a hash of the recovery credential are retained to restore access to your saved record. The raw guest credential is not stored in the database. The service records aggregate counts and timings for matches and errors; these counters do not contain names, hidden cards, or recovery tokens.

Your personal game record

The server saves match mode, table size, bot difficulty, timestamps, outcome, duration, turns and personal play statistics. It does not keep complete card histories or hidden hands in the record database. Records are used to show your wins and progress, not a public leaderboard. Your record shows the latest 20 games per page and lets you clear all personal history when you are not playing. Clearing keeps your recovery identity and a reset marker to prevent delayed results from restoring deleted history. The server makes daily backups and checks hourly for copies older than seven days while running. Backups may temporarily contain deleted records; cleanup resumes when a stopped server starts again.
